EVPN - Next Generation VPN

Interoute EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private network) service is a flexible, cost effective and reliable wide area network solution for secure and private connectivity of multiple sites within an organisation. The EVPN (Ethernet VPN) service extends the benefits of Ethernet technology that has traditionally been confined to the LAN, to the Wide area network. The service is delivered over Interoute's next generation MPLS network platform, and enterprises can benefit from fully converged traditional IPVPN (layer 3) and EVPN (layer 2) solutions.

EVPN service can be built over any access type and tail circuit, including legacy non-Ethernet networks such as Frame and ATM. This allows organizations to benefit from a full Ethernet network with minimum cost of change. The service uniquely allows the customer to manage their own routing over their VPN network, providing ultimate control and security.

EVPN (VPLS)

Interoute EVPN is inherently based on Virtual Private LAN Services (VPLS) and links together multiple sites in a single bridged Ethernet domain running over an MPLS network and benefits from the scalability and reliability of Interoute's advanced MPLS core network.

All customer sites in an EVPN service appear to be on the same LAN, regardless of their geographical location. Each customer has its own private EVPN service that is completely separated logically from other customers across the whole carrier network.

The service supports IP and non IP protocols, QoS specifications and provides easier and faster in-life upgrades and changes.

EVPN services are delivered on the Interoute Unified Connectivity platform enabling a full suite of services, such as EVPN, Internet, layer 3 IPVPN and voice, to be carried over a single CPE and local access circuit.
